Pioneer Underwriters Appoints Ian Clark and Eamon Brown as Non-Executive Directors
Pioneer Underwriting Ltd (‘Pioneer Underwriters’) announces the appointment of Ian Clark and Eamon Brown as Non-Executive Directors effective immediately
subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.
Ian Clark 54 was formerly a Senior Partner at Deloitte, leading the firm’s insurance M&A and strategy practice focussing on both global and domestic
clients. He has over 34 years of experience providing professional services to the insurance industry encompassing insurers, brokers, service providers,
investors and regulators. He led Deloitte’s London Market practice for over a decade and has advised the UK Government on a number of issues relating
to the insurance industry including acting as a regulator of the broking sector.
Eamon Brown 57 is an insurance and reinsurance executive with experience spanning over four decades. He is Managing Director of management consultancy
business ESB Advisory Ltd, providing strategic advice to the Lloyd’s insurance market. He spent over four years with Lloyd’s of London as Senior Manager
of the Franchise Performance Directorate, dealing with syndicate performance issues at managing agents, oversight of the exposure management and analytical
teams and serving on the ICA steering group, reviewing and approving syndicate capital. Previously he has also been Director of Underwriting at both
Jubilee Managing Agency and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group, where he led the re-structure of syndicate 3210’s underwriting function, successfully
developing a profitable portfolio of business. Other prior roles include CEO of GE Insurance Solutions, Casualty Underwriting Manager of ERC Frankona
Re and Senior Liability Underwriter at the Mercantile & General Reinsurance Co.
