Pioneer Underwriting Ltd was launched in April 2011 under the Pioneer Holdings umbrella. Pioneer is a Managing General Agent (MGA), with binding authority to underwrite on behalf of Underwriters at Lloyd's. This provides Pioneer with substantial, high quality capacity making them one of the largest London based MGAs. With this backing, Pioneer has coupled Lloyd's security with a clear underwriting philosophy and a devoted team to underwrite your business.

- £62.5m gross premium in the first year with a plan to be £125m by the third year
- Currently exclusively underwriting business supplied by BMS Group
- Operating in a following capacity only
- Diverse portfolio including property, medical malpractice, marine and general casualty
- Independently underwritten in-house
- Treaty catastrophe, retrocession and true long tailed classes will not be written
